Cultural Experiences Cambodia (CEC)
Experience culture as a living connection, not a show.
Who We Are
Cultural Experiences Cambodia (CEC) is a cultural initiative dedicated to preserving and sharing Cambodia’s living heritage through authentic experiences.
Working closely with master artists, musicians, dancers, and craftsmen, CEC creates opportunities for visitors to engage directly with traditional arts through workshops, performances, and cultural encounters.
Rather than presenting culture as something to observe from a distance, CEC invites participation — allowing guests to learn, create, and connect with Cambodia through meaningful human exchange.
Based in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, CEC collaborates with artists and communities across the country to support cultural transmission from one generation to the next.

Cambodia’s traditional arts and diverse cultural expressions are at the heart of Cambodian lives and represent Cambodia’s face to the world.

Vision
Mission
We work to support, strengthen and facilitate connections between Cambodia’s cultural expressions, both to Cambodian people and the outside world.
What We Do
CEC brings culture to life through a variety of programs and initiatives:
Cultural Tours: Immersive experiences like Wat Bo Temple and SSFA tours
Workshops: Dance, music, puppetry, and crafts led by master artists
Performances & Outreach: Artists demonstrate and perform in communities and villages, bringing traditional arts directly to local audiences
Community Engagement: Supporting artists’ participation in cultural events, including book fairs, giant puppet parades, and other festivals
Shop & Cultural Products: Handcrafted instruments and souvenirs supporting local artisans
Endangered Arts & Research: Initiatives like bringing back the Angkuoch (Cambodian Jew’s harp) and documenting endangered arts to share them with the world
CEC also invests in the next generation and elder masters:
Generating income and employment opportunities for elder master artists so they can continue their heritage
Supporting dance and music classes for local children and community members who cannot otherwise afford to participate
Why It Matters
Support Artists: Sustains master artists and craftsmen across Cambodia
Preserve Traditions: Helps pass on centuries of Cambodian knowledge
Reach Communities: Brings culture to villages, schools, and public events
Empower Elders and Youth: Provides income, purpose, and hope for elder masters while enabling youth participation
